The first organizing meeting of an annversary committee was held on May 11th, to sound out ideas and events for our anniversary year of 2011. We need more people and input into ideas. Some ideas talked about were having 4 events, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. The Main events of course will be on November 12th, Anniversary Dinner and November 13th Anniversary service  with our guest of honour being The Primate of The Anglican Church of Canada, Archbishop Fred Hiltz, who was booked back in 2007 for this event.

A New Years Eve celebration will Kick off our Celebration Year and will be held in the Parish Hall on December 31st starting at 6 P.M. with a Pot Luck Supper. Entertainment will follow from about 7 till 9 PM.   Tickets will be $ 5.00 and available to the first 100 people.

Committee people have met with Lucinda from Prairie Stained Glass regarding a Thanksgiving stained glass window for the Church in thanks for everything that has taken place over the past 150 years.

The Gala Event of our Celebration will take place on November 12th, 2011.  in the Memorial Hall in Selkirk, MB at which there will be a catered meal by our local Selkirk caterer. Entertainment by the Simpsons Follies and our Local Square Dance group will follow. Our Primate, Archbishop Fred Hiltz will be our honored guest and will breing greetings along with our Bishop.  Tickets will be $50.00 per person. The committee feels that there is Value for your Dollar and this would be what you would pay for a nice dinner out. Included in our costs is the catering, hall rental, sound system, decorations, center pieces, entertainment, 2 bottles of wine per table (no other alcohol available) and aire fare for Fred Hiltz. Knowing this a year  in advance the committee feels there should not really be a hardship. Parishioners will have first offerings of the tickets when they go on sale. (June 2011) and only 300 are available.

A Celebration Service will be held on November 13th and Celebrant will be Primate Fred Hiltz.
